Becki Digby
Becki is thrilled to be going into her second year as a student director at the Music Academy of Western New York!
Becki is currently a student at Clarence High School where she is a member of the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. At school, she enjoys singing with her friends in Treble Chorus, Chorale, and Vocal Jazz; all under the direction of Amy Fetterly.
Outside of High School, Becki has had the pleasure of singing with the Music Academy Show Choir team SHOUT!, St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute Swing Choir, Vocal Performance Team, and ABC Bel Canto. She has performed as a featured soloist at Hard Rock Cafe, Niagara Falls, NY, Lewiston Jazz Festival, Lewiston, NY, and as a featured opening ceremonies singer for the Western New York’s International Women’s Roller Derby League. Becki was also a finalist for the WYRK Taste of Country National Anthem Contest and the Hal Leonard Vocal Competition.
A highlight of her youth was her solo performance at Carnegie Hall where she was the proud 1st place winner of the American Protege International Singing Competition.
Becki has had the honor of attending Broadway masterclasses taught by Adam Pascal (Rent), Beau Bradshaw (SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical National Tour) and Elizabeth Welch (Phantom of the Opera).
Becki’s theatre credits include The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan (MTI’s Broadway Jr. Showcase Best Young Performer), Frozen Jr., In the Heights (Best Newcomer Award), and most recently as Eponine in the Music Academy of Western New York’s production of Les Miserables.
Becki is grateful to Jena Abati for the opportunity to share her love of music, dance and theatre with your children.
